Young Scientist from Moscow Polytechnic University Honored with Chinese Ambassador's Award in Russia

The Chinese Embassy in Moscow hosted a ceremony honoring the winners of the Chinese Ambassador's Award. Among the laureates was Egor Musin, Associate Professor at Moscow Polytechnic University, who received the award in the «Biomedicine» category.

The research carried out by Egor Musin, entitled development of an electrochemical biosensor system for determining ethanol and acetaldehyde concentrations in clinical medicine, falls within the priority research domain of sensor technologies at Moscow Polytechnic University. In 2024, the project was supported by the P.L. Kapitsa Grant as part of the federal academic leadership program «Priority 2030».

The award was established in 2020 by the Chinese Embassy together with the Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations, with the goal of promoting exchanges and cooperation between young scientists of the two countries. In 2026, it was presented in three categories: «Biomedicine», «Electronic Information» and «High-Tech Manufacturing and Equipment». A total of 166 applications were submitted fr om over 100 research, educational, and medical organizations. Following the selection process, 24 scientists and engineers were named laureates.

The award recipients will have the opportunity to visit research companies, educational institutions, and industrial enterprises in China, wh ere they will be able to exchange best practices and scientific and technical achievements, establish contacts with Chinese colleagues for potential participation in joint programs, grants, and scientific exchanges, and gain new experience for their professional work.
