Moscow Polytech student brigades activists are spending this summer productively: participants are working at strategically important facilities of the country, where they contribute to the implementation of socially significant projects and develop creative, sports and professional skills.

Counselors fr om the "Nebo" (Sky) and "Oktant" teaching brigades are working at children's recreation camps across Russia, from "Ozyorny" and "Orlyonok" in the Moscow Region to national-level camps such as "Zhemchuzhina Rossii" (Pearl of Russia) and "Morskaya Volna" (Sea Wave).

Members of the "Vira" (Lift Up) construction brigade are involved in a number of industrial facilities. The team has already taken part in large-scale Rosatom construction projects in the closed cities of Sarov and Ozyorsk. This year, the brigade is working together with Moscow student brigades: it builds, maintains and improves the Moscow's infrastructure.

Conductors from the "Soyka" student brigade have been working on the country's key tourist routes for the third year in a row. Every summer, the activists help cover the summer staff shortage at the Federal Passenger Company, providing comfortable and safe travel conditions for tens of thousands of passengers annually. In addition, students have the opportunity to earn extra money during the academic year on short weekend trips.

During the working season, brigades' members also take part in creative competitions. Last year, "Oktant" brigade activists Timur and Sonya took first place in the "Miss and Mister of the 'Krasnaya Nit' (Red Thread) All-Russian Student Teaching Brigade" contest.

According to the students themselves, Russian Student Brigades offer broad opportunities for professional and personal growth. For example, movement participant Nikita is spending the summer in Irkutsk, wh ere he works as a computer operator at a local hospital and also serves as press secretary of the "Angaria" All-Russian Student Medical Brigade. Although his field of study is not related to either medicine or media, participation in the movement allows him to try new professional roles, gain valuable practical experience and better define his future career path.

Russian Student Brigades are a large-scale labor movement. Here, students and schoolchildren not only gain their first professional work experience, but also earn money for their dreams, improve their skills and find a team of like-minded people.
