Moscow Polytech Preparatory Students Take Part in the "Unity in Friendship" Festival

International students from Moscow Polytechnic University’s Preparatory Department took part in the "Unity in Friendship" international festival at RUDN University (Peoples' Friendship University of Russia). Following the presentation of their creative project, the university's team won a prize. The programme included an opening ceremony, a masterclass titled "Content Workshop: Speak with Confidence, Shoot Beautifully", and a project laboratory on "Russian Language, Culture, and Joint Projects".

Under the guidance of their teachers, the students prepared a video project in which they presented their own understanding of friendship in their native languages.

"The festival was an interesting experience for me. I am glad that I met new people and was able to communicate in Russian. Working on the video helped us get to know each other better and create something meaningful together," shared Moussa Hassan from Lebanon.

For the students, the festival was an opportunity to meet international students from other universities, practise their Russian, and create a creative project together.

"Moscow Polytechnic brings together talented young people from different countries. It is important to us that international students can not only gain knowledge but also develop their abilities, communicate, and take part in cultural, educational and outreach events. At the festival, the students showed initiative and enthusiasm: even after the in-person programme had ended, they continued working on the project. The prize was a well-deserved result of their dedication and teamwork," noted Roman Lyoza, Head of the Preparatory Department at Moscow Polytechnic University.

The preparatory students were accompanied at the festival by Moscow Polytechnic ambassadors — international students of the university.

Background: the ambassador programme helps international students adapt to life in Russia during their first months: getting to know the university environment, receiving support, and feeling more confident in a new country.
