Moscow Polytechnic University Ranked Among Russia’s Top 30 Universities Chosen by Students

Moscow Polytechnic University has been ranked among the top 30 Russian universities that students would choose for higher education, according to a study conducted by the career platform Changellenge. The survey included nearly 9,000 students and recent graduates from 47 universities across Russia. The ranking was based on the results of the annual Changellenge >> Best Company Award study, which surveyed young professionals online.

The study evaluates universities based on the quality of education, preparation for the labour market, and opportunities for professional development during studies. It also considers students’ and graduates’ willingness to recommend their university to prospective applicants.

One of Moscow Polytechnic University’s key strengths is its practice-oriented educational model. From their first years of study, students apply their knowledge to real-world projects and gain practical work experience. As a result, combining study with employment becomes a natural part of their academic and professional development.

The study also highlights that students from the country’s leading universities are becoming increasingly confident in the labour market, particularly when applying for their first full-time positions. Expectations for starting salaries continue to rise: in 2026, the average expected monthly salary reached 87,200 rubles, compared to 79,600 rubles in 2025 and 68,700 rubles in 2024. This trend reflects growing demand for universities that not only provide a high-quality education but also prepare students for successful careers while they are still studying.

Earlier in spring 2026, Moscow Polytechnic University was also ranked among the leading Russian universities in the National Graduate Employment Ranking, further confirming the effectiveness of its practice-oriented approach to higher education.
