School of Advanced Engineering Design at Moscow Polytechnic University to Showcase Its Projects at the ProDvizheniye Automotive Festival
The School of Advanced Engineering Designat Moscow Polytechnic University will take part in the large-scale ProDvizheniye Automotive Festival, which will be held at VDNH from July 30 to August 2. This year marks the School’s first student admission campaign. During the festival, prospective students and their families will have the opportunity to meet the School’s faculty and staff in an informal setting, ask questions about admission, the academic programme, and student projects.
At the festival, Nikita Perminov, lecturer and team leader at the Advanced School of Engineering Design, will introduce the School’s educational concept, study areas, and real-world projects developed by students. These include the Terranica Expedition all-terrain vehicle, as well as projects previously created by Moscow Polytechnic University graduates, such as the BMW X2 2026, Audi Quattro Concept, Navio L5, and Bugatti Bolide. Visitors will learn how modern transportation solutions are designed and what professional competencies future engineering designers acquire.
The Advanced School of Engineering Design trains specialists in transportation and industrial design. Students learn to design not only passenger vehicles, but also public transport, special-purpose vehicles, aircraft, vehicle interiors and exteriors, as well as industrial products and consumer goods.
The School’s graduates are in demand worldwide, with alumni working in Russia, China, Germany, Austria, the United States, Italy, and many other countries. In Russia, graduates earn an average salary of 150,000–200,000 rubles per month. Many students begin their professional careers before graduation, receiving job offers as full-time specialists rather than interns.
The School was established on the foundation of the MAMI Special Design Bureau (SKB MAMI), founded in 1987 and later transformed into the PromDesign Research and Engineering Centre. It also incorporates the innovative company Avia-Concept and the CARDI coachbuilding studio. The School’s industry partners include the Lab 20/50 Industrial Design Centre and the Style Centre of FSUE NAMI.
Today, the School’s graduates work for leading Russian and international companies, including BMW, Volkswagen, Bugatti, Porsche Design, Navio, Yandex, NAMI, LADA, Audi, Bentley, GAC, Geely, Byton, Hyundai, and many others.
