Practical Training Is an Essential Part of the Educational Experience at Moscow Polytechnic University
Summer is traditionally the season for industrial placements at Moscow Polytechnic University. After completing their examinations, senior students begin internships at companies and organizations, where they have the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real professional settings.
“Practical training is an essential and mandatory part of the educational process,” emphasize specialists from the Moscow Polytechnic University Career Center. “The University has built a strong network of industry partners across a wide range of sectors, allowing students to take their first professional steps in their chosen fields. During the 2025–2026 academic year, more than 7,000 students completed educational, industrial, and pre-graduation internships. Many of them received internship or job offers from the organizations wh ere they successfully completed their placements.”
In the summer of 2026, hundreds of companies from diverse industries—from media and education to mechanical engineering, the automotive sector, and finance—welcomed Moscow Polytechnic University students for practical training.
Students interested in the creative industries explored the world of immersive and phygital publishing at Book of Impressions.
At Prosveshcheniye Publishing House, trainees gained experience with modern approaches to educational content development.
At the KAMAZ Innovation Center, students learned about the latest technologies and innovations in the automotive industry.
At the State Research Center of the Russian Federation NAMI, they observed the development of advanced vehicles and automotive components.
Placements at Kometa Corporation and MIT Corporation introduced students to the work of high-tech enterprises in the defense and research sectors.
At the M. V. Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Center, students gained valuable experience in the aerospace industry.
The Shcherbinka Elevator Plant provided an opportunity to observe the complete manufacturing cycle of elevator equipment.
At Sberbank, students became familiar with customer service operations and the internal processes of a leading financial institution.
Students of the V. A. Favorsky Institute of Graphics and Book Arts completed a unique practical training programme through plein-air drawing sessions, studying urban environments, architecture, and nature.
Meanwhile, students specializing in Transportation Design visited the AVTOVAZ manufacturing plant and completed a plein-air practice programme in Samara.
Among the organizations that hosted Moscow Polytechnic University students this year were Moskvich, LiAZ, the Moscow Metro, Mosgortrans, Khimstroy, the St. Petersburg Tractor Plant, Donskoy Privoz, Ingosstrakh, Mosenergo, Mosoblgaz, UEC-Salyut, Rosatom Renewable Energy, companies based in the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone, and hundreds of other enterprises.
The University’s strong emphasis on practical training fully reflects its practice-oriented approach to education. Students do not simply study their disciplines in the classroom—they immediately apply their knowledge in real working environments. Industrial placements help them better understand their future profession, adapt to industry requirements, and confidently begin their professional careers.
