Outlining Scholarship support system for Moscow Polytechnic University students

Moscow Polytechnic University is among the capital’s universities offering one of the most extensive and flexible systems of financial incentives for students. The university provides several types of scholarships, ranging from the standard academic stipend to named scholarships and awards funded by corporate partners. The list of payments includes the basic academic stipend, an enhanced stipend for outstanding achievements, social support for students in need, as well as named scholarships and grants from the university's industry partners. State Academic Scholarship

This is awarded starting from the first semester to all full-time, state-funded students who have no "satisfactory" grades (C-equivalents) or retakes.

2,300 rubles – for first-year, first-semester students

3,000 rubles – if "excellent" (A-equivalent) grades make up less than 50% of the total

4,500 rubles – if "excellent" grades make up at least 50% of the total

If, following interim assessments, a student has only "excellent" grades and no retakes, the scholarship amount increases:

1st exam session – 6,000 rubles

2–3 consecutive sessions – 7,500 rubles

4–5 consecutive sessions – 10,500 rubles

6 or more consecutive sessions – 13,500 rubles

Enhanced State Academic Scholarship

This scholarship is for students who have excelled in the academic, athletic, scientific, social, and cultural-creative life of Moscow Polytechnic University.

It is awarded twice a year based on a competitive selection process.

Amount: 14,000 to 21,000 rubles per month.

State Social Scholarship

This scholarship is available to the following categories of students:

orphans

persons with Group I or II disabilities

persons with disabilities since childhood

students affected by radiation due to radiation-related disasters

combat veterans

recipients of state social assistance

Amount: 3,400 rubles per month

For first- and second-year students who achieve "good" and/or "excellent" grades, the social scholarship is increased to 14,000 rubles.

Moscow Polytechnic University Scholarship for Fee-Paying Students

Moscow Polytechnic University is one of the few universities to offer a scholarship for fee-paying students. The selection criteria are the same as those for the enhanced academic scholarship. It is awarded for one semester.

Amount: 2,300 rubles per month

Government and Presidential Scholarships of the Russian Federation

The Government of the Russian Federation Scholarship is awarded to students (Russian citizens) who have achieved success in their field of study.

Amount: 20,000 rubles

The President of the Russian Federation Scholarship is awarded to full-time students (Russian citizens) pursuing studies in priority areas of the country's scientific and technological development.

Amount: 30,000 rubles

Both scholarships are awarded for one academic year and are paid monthly.

Moscow Government Named Scholarship

A competition for this scholarship is held annually. It is awarded for one semester and subsequently extended based on exam results. A total of 2,000 students receive this award.

Amount: 6,500 rubles per month.

V.S. Chernomyrdin Scholarship

The scholarship is awarded to 10 full-time students at Moscow Polytechnic University for one academic year. Eligibility criteria can be found here.
