Over 130 Students and Staff from Moscow Polytech Discussed Addictive Behavior
The "Clean Generation 2026" preventive event, Stage 1, was held at Moscow Polytech’s Dobro.Center (Kindness). Over 130 people participated in the mixed-format meeting. Following a film screening and a discussion with a psychologist, the winners of the social poster and video contest were awarded.
Moscow Polytech students and staff met with Andrey Motkov, a medical psychologist from the rehabilitation department of Branch No. 4 of the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Narcology, a university guest. The discussion focused on how a person can slip unnoticed into the grip of psychoactive substance addiction. Participants learned about the chronic nature of the disease, as well as its severe physiological, psychological, and social consequences.
After watching the documentary "Work to the Death," Andrey shared that, in his practice rehabilitating addicts, he often sees the lives of not only those who use and distribute psychoactive substances but also their loved ones being destroyed.
Lyubov Moiseyeva, chair of the trade union bureau for the Pavel Korchagin location, and Anna Kurbasova, senior lecturer in the Department of Environmental Safety of Technical Systems, spoke at the meeting. As educators, senior colleagues, and mothers, they spoke about responsible behavior and the importance of learning to say "no" and resist manipulation.
