Summer plein – air series of “Polygraph” Art School ended at Moscow Polytech
The Polygraph Art School at Moscow Polytech has summarized the summer season, which it dedicated to creativity in the open air. Over the course of three months, students participated in a series of plein air painting sessions in picturesque corners of Moscow. The students combined learning the basics of urban landscape painting with immersion in the history of the capital.
According to the school's instructors, plein air painting is the best training for a beginner. This practice broadens horizons, improves the quality of painting, instills a love of art, and stimulates creative activity.
The participants in the outdoor summer classes were able to not only master the basics of urban landscape and architectural sketching but also learn about the history of Moscow through its architectural imagery. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, the young artists honed their skills while exploring the city with sketchbooks and paints in hand.
In parallel to the plein–air sessions, a special series of master-classes on design were held at the school. At the classes, the students learnt to create stylish posters and billboards, mastered new techniques of illustration and deepened theoretical knowledge about the color and composition.
The summer at “Polygraph” became the time of productive creativity, new impressions and inspiration. The school thanks all the participants of the summer program and looks forward to continuing classes in its studios in the autumn fall.
