On the Day of Crimea's Reunification with Russia Moscow Polytech Hosts the Festival of Russian Culture
The “Sources” Сontest-festival of Russian culture took place on 18 March in Moscow Polytech. The Dagestan team became the winner of the “Sources” Grand Prix according to the results of the student teams competition.
The Festival was held to form an unbiased image of Russia, Russian culture and Russian way of life. Student teams presented their projects on the development of domestic tourism. They demonstrated knowledge of Russia's regions’ culture and history, its culinary and ethnographic traditions. The Festival included master classes “One Nation in a Multitude of Cultures and Ethnicities” and “Green Pharmacy”. Experts and specialists in the field of history, culture and education gave a speech during the Festival. The work of the student teams was evaluated by a professional jury formed of international and federal experts and Moscow Polytech faculty under the leadership of Alexander Berdnikov, Chairman of the Commission for Council for Nationalities and Public Diplomacy Ethno-cultural Development under the Moscow Government.
Winners of the “Dream Trip - Weekend in the Region” nomination:
1st place - Republic of Crimea team;
2nd place - Republic of Dagestan team;
3rd place - Republic of Buryatia team and Bryansk team.
Winners of the Traditional Cuisine nomination:
1st place - Donetsk People's Republic team,
2nd place - Republic of Dagestan team;
3rd place - Republic of North Ossetia team and Moscow team.
Winners in the ‘Quiz’ nomination:
1st place - Bryansk and Bryansk region team;
2nd place - The Republic of Bashkortostan team;
3rd place - Moscow and Moscow region team.
The Dagestan team became the Grand Prix winner of the “Sources” Сontest-festival.
All participants of the Festival received certificates. The winning teams get certificates of honour, prizes and gifts from the Moscow Polytech trade union organisation.
Victoria Tsyganova, a well-known singer, actress, designer and public figure, made a welcome video for to the “Sources” Сontest-festival participants at the award ceremony. She warmly welcomed the contest participants, emphasised the importance of understanding the Russian history and cultural traditions.
Natalia Frolova, the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Festival, Deputy Head of the Educational and Social Work Departmen, Senior Lecturer of the Centre for Project Activities, noted that such events are very important and valuable for the development of younger generation cultural and patriotic values.
