Moscow Polytech Students Clean Up Grounds of Bakhrushin Orphanage during Cleanup Day
On April 25, a large-scale cleanup day was held in the Alekseevsky District of Moscow to improve the grounds of a historic building – the former Bakhrushin Brothers Orphanage. Dozens of concerned citizens, volunteers, and representatives of public organizations, including Moscow Polytech students, participated in the cleanup day.
The main goal of the cleanup day was not only to clean up the grounds but also to draw attention to the preservation of Moscow's cultural heritage. The former orphanage is a unique place with a rich history, associated with the names of prominent patrons and philanthropists of the capital – Peter, Alexander, and Vasily Bakhrushin.
Participants cleared leaves, tidied up the paths, planted flowers, and tended to the greenery. Because of their joint efforts, the orphanage grounds were noticeably transformed: they became cleaner, more comfortable, and more beautiful.
