In Moscow, in a solemn atmosphere, the 15th anniversary labor season of Moscow Student Brigades was launched. Activists gathered on May 20 at the Scientific Library of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Among the participants were 87 members of Moscow Polytech student brigades. This summer, these future teachers, builders, and train conductors will work across various sectors of the economy in Moscow, other Russian regions, and even abroad.
Moscow Polytech students have actively joined the anniversary season of the Russian Student Brigades. Thus, 56 members of the "Nebo" (Sky) and "Oktant" teaching brigades will work at children's recreation camps as camp counselors, sports instructors, educational coordinators, senior counselors, artistic directors, and program leaders. Activists will help provide safe and engaging summer programs for children in Moscow, the Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod regions, as well as in the "Orlyonok" and "Ocean" National Children's Centers.
14 members of the "Vira" (Lift Up) construction brigade will work on urban and international projects. In Moscow, they will help modernize hot water supply systems at heating points of the Moscow United Energy Company. They will also represent Moscow internationally by contributing to work at a nuclear power plant in Hungary.
This summer, 17 Moscow Polytech students will experience the romance of the railways as passenger train conductors. They will work on 15 routes, including services to Anapa, Kazan, and St. Petersburg. At the Moscow-Nikolayevka divisions of the Federal Passenger Company, young people will be engaged in the organization and support of passenger transportation by seating passengers according to their tickets, ensuring safe boarding and disembarkation, providing onboard service, and checking the technical condition of passenger coaches.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Moscow Student Brigades. Over the past 15 years of the modern history of the organization, more than 13,000 Moscow students have joined the Russian Student Brigades movement. Every year, students from secondary vocational colleges and universities gain official work experience in their fields, explore new career paths, they have the opportunity to complete mandatory summer internships and save up for their dreams. This year, Moscow Student Brigades will work with 20 capital's employers while also participating in nationwide and international Russian Student Brigades projects.
