International Students from Moscow Polytechnic University Won Gold for the first time at the Embassy of Angola’s Football Tournament
The idea of forming the group originated nearly a year ago, initiated by Angolan students studying at Moscow Polytechnic University. They set themselves an ambitious goal: to create a team capable of worthily representing the university not only within the student community but also on the broader stage.
The start was not easy: the team competed in several tournaments but failed to secure any major victories. However, the experience did not break the athletes - on the contrary, it toughened their character. They redoubled their training intensity, strengthened the team, and kept believing in success, despite the skepticism of some of their rivals.
"My role isn't limited to tactical or technical instructions. I’m there for the guys to remind them of their limitless potential and to instill confidence in their abilities. We’ve went through the bitter experience of defeat, and many dismissed us because of our young team, but that only fueled our fire. Hard work, determination, and iron will proved stronger than doubt. Our victory isn't the result of years of experience; it’s the outcome of immense dedication and unity. To me, this trophy is a priceless symbol of respect—something money can’t buy. I am proud of every step the guys took on the road to this achievement," said Madalena, a fan of the team.
