Moscow Polytech student Eraj Obidov has scored a decisive victory at a prestigious international MMA competition. The combat sports festival in Klin attracted top fighters from across Russia and CIS countries, with the 2025 edition dedicated to marking the anniversary of the incorporation of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions into Russia.
The under 63 kg title was contested by athletes from across Russia. This year's tournament marked its international debut with MMA fighters from Armenia and Georgia joining the competition. Over 400 athletes competed for medals across multiple weight classes and divisions. Representing Moscow Polytech's "RUFIGHTA" fight club, Eraj Obidov dominated the tournament bracket, advancing convincingly through all rounds without giving his opponents any opportunity to win.
We congratulate Eraj and the coaching staff on this outstanding achievement and wish him continued success in maintaining this winning momentum, both in the octagon and in his academic pursuits at the university.
