Chinese Students at Moscow Polytechnic University Visited the Exhibition at the Museum of Moscow

Chinese students studying at Moscow Polytechnic University’s Faculty of Transport under the Electrified Vehicles programme visited the Women Scientists. Science Without Permission exhibition at the Museum of Moscow. The exhibition tells the stories of women scientists who challenged the restrictions of their time, made significant scientific discoveries, and helped reshape perceptions of women’s role in science.

It covers eight areas of research — Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geology, Microbiology, Cognitive Science, Climatology, and Astronomy. Historical archives, contemporary research projects, and science-art installations introduce visitors to the achievements of women in science, from Sofia Kovalevskaya to today’s researchers.

For the exchange students, the visit was both a cultural experience and an opportunity to learn more about the history of Russian science. Interactive exhibits make complex scientific concepts more engaging and accessible. Visitors can, for example, see their own hand in different parts of the electromagnetic spectrum or experience the world “through the eyes of plants.”

Moscow Polytechnic University continues to strengthen cooperation with Chinese universities and welcomes students from the People’s Republic of China through academic exchange programmes every year. Cultural and educational activities like this help international students adapt to a new academic environment and gain a deeper understanding of the country in which they are studying.

The exhibition is on display at the Museum of Moscow (2 Zubovsky Boulevard, Building 3) until November 10.
