International roundtable discussion on preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War to be hosted by Moscow Polytech

On March 3, Moscow Polytech will host an international roundtable discussion on “Forms, Practices and results of search activities on preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War”. The organizer will be the Department of Humanities of the Faculty of Basic Competences.

The heads of search projects of the Museum of History of Printing and Book Publishing of Moscow State University of Publishing named after Ivan Fyodorov, the Moscow Regional Public Organization “Children of War”, the Eurasia Patriotic Project “Return of the Name” (Abkhazia), teachers and students of our university, as well as universities from Volgograd, Kostroma, Belarus (Minsk), Uzbekistan (Tashkent), Switzerland (Villars-sur-Ollon) have confirmed their participation in the event.

The participants will discuss the key aspects of search activity, as an important tool for popularizing historical knowledge among young students, preserving the memory of the events of the War and perpetuating heroic deeds of Soviet soldiers and citizens as the means of combat against the falsification of history, as well as distortion of the true picture of World War II and the decisive contribution of the USSR to the crushing defeat of Nazi Germany.
