Three Moscow Polytech Representatives Elected to the International Academy of Refrigeration

Following the results of the XXXIII meeting of the International Academy of Refrigeration, three representatives of Moscow Polytech – a staff member, a postgraduate student and a master's student – became members of the prestigious international organization. The event was dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Leningrad Technological Institute of the Refrigeration Industry (LTIKhP / Saint Petersburg State University of Refrigeration and Food Engineering (SPbGUNiPT)), widely known among professionals as the "Leningrad Kholodilka" (Leningrad Refrigeration College).

The meeting was held at ITMO University (National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics) in St. Petersburg. The business program included the election of new Academy members across thematic sections. As a result, Andrey Yermolayev, PhD in Technical Sciences and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Biotechnologyof the Department, was elected a Corresponding Member of the "Refrigeration Machines and Low-Potential Energy Systems" Section. Ilya Drobkov, a postgraduate student of the Department, received a status of an Academic Adviser to the "Refrigeration Systems and Refrigerated Transport" Section, while Ivan Skrypnikov, a master's student of the Department, became an Academic Adviser to the "Hydrogen Energy" Section. 

According to experts, the Academy's annual meeting traditionally serves as the leading platform for reviewing the current state of the industry and defining strategic priorities for the development of refrigeration and cryogenic engineering, low-temperature energy, air-conditioning systems, agricultural raw material processing technologies, food storage, food biotechnology, and environmental protection.
