Vice-Rector Yulia Davydova and International Office Head Alina Andrukh have led Moscow Polytechnic University's first official delegation to Kenya. The official visit was organized by the non-governmental organization “Path to Russia.”
During the visit, a business meeting was held with Julius Ogamba, Kenya’s Minister of Education. The parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in education, opportunities for joint scientific projects, initiatives aimed at promoting the Russian language, as well as mechanisms for implementing academic mobility programs for students and faculty members.
The delegation visited several leading educational institutions in Nairobi and Eldoret, including the innovative Nova Pioneer International School, Michuki National Polytechnic College, Brook House School, Nairobi International School, and Ngenyilel Technical Training Institute. During these visits, discussions focused on the creation of joint research projects, academic exchange programs, Russian language instruction and the development of bilateral educational initiatives.
In addition, representatives of Moscow Polytech conducted a series of career guidance sessions, where they presented Kenyan students with the university’s educational opportunities, its unique practice-oriented learning model and prospects available for international students.
Currently, Moscow Polytechnic University hosts students from 79 countries, including 32 African nations. This visit plays an important role in strengthening cooperation with countries across the African continent and expanding the number of international students coming from Africa.
