First Meeting of the Conversation Club in the New Academic Year Held at Moscow Polytech
The first meeting of the Conversation Club in the new academic year, organized with the support of the department for International Integration and Work with foreign Students, was held at Moscow Polytech. The Conversation Club brings together Russian and international students of the university, creating the space for live communication, new acquaintances, language practice, and discussion of interesting and relevant topics.
International students can practice Russian, while Russian-speaking students can practice English by communicating with each other and discussing interesting and relevant topics.
The topic of the first meeting was future careers, international education, and opportunities for professional development in different countries. Participants talked about their fields of study and career plans, discussed promising professions, research interests, and the role of international experience and internships in professional development.
Students worked in groups, got to know each other, took part in discussions, and engaged in joint activities. Special attention was paid to communication between representatives of different countries and the exchange of personal experience.
This academic year, Conversation Club meetings are planned to be held regularly — once every two weeks.
The next meeting will take place on October 7. Topic: "People and Ideas That Changed the World: Inventions, Technologies, and the Future." Participants will discuss discoveries and technologies that have influenced our lives, the people behind important inventions, and will try to imagine what ideas could change the world in the future.
