Two Moscow Polytech PhD Students Awarded Russian Presidential Scholarships

800 young researchers from all over Russia became the winners of the third competitive selection for the Russian Presidential Scholarship among PhD students and adjuncts. Among the recipients are two representatives from Moscow Polytechnic University, whose research focuses on advancing transport technologies and increasing the efficiency of cargo transportation. The winners' research aligns with the priorities of the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation.

Moscow Polytech’s PhD student Mikhail Chetverikov is working on his dissertation titled "Method of Multifactorial Multi-Criteria Optimization of Design Parameters of Wheeled Tractor's Primary Suspension System as Part of a Mainline Road Train."

The study is devoted to the search for the optimal parameters of the front suspension of a tractor unit within a mainline road train. The objective is to increase operational speed without compromising comfort, vibration safety for personnel, or cargo integrity.

Pavel Rubanov is exploring the topic: "Methodology for Designing the Spatial Structure of a Semi-Trailer Load-Bearing System with Optimal Parameters."

The work focuses on creating a methodology that enables the design of semi-trailer load-bearing systems that meet the required standards of strength, rigidity, and durability. This is particularly significant for the transport industry, as the load-bearing system largely determines a vehicle’s reliability and service life. 

The young scientists' research supervisor is Mikhail Zhileykin, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Head of the Engineering Analysis and Simulation Service at "'KAMAZ' Innovative Center" LLC, and Professor of the Advanced Engineering School of Technological Leadership FDR.
