Phygital project based on Andersen's fairy tale wins Grand Prix at the Book of the Future competition
The main prize of the youth projects competition “The Book of the Future” was awarded to the project “H.C. Andersen “The Steadfast Tin Soldier”. The winning team included an illustrator Daria Mazerkina, a student of the V.A. Favorsky Institute of Graphics and Art of Books, developers Varvara Sedova and Andrey Vnukov, students of the Faculty of Information Technologies of Moscow Polytech, and Svetozar Krylov, a developer of the Publishing House “Book of Impressions” (the publishing project “Charmed Books”). The work was created within the framework of the discipline “Project Activity” of Moscow Polytech.
The team presented an innovative project for the competition — a phygital book with interactive elements. This is a new reading format that combines traditional texts with interactivity thanks to the use of sensors of modern mobile devices.
As noted by Egor Tulin, director of the company "Book of Impressions", associate professor of the Moscow Polytechnic University, the project that received the Grand Prix was created and developed within the framework of the discipline "Project Activity".
