Moscow Polytech Ranked in the Premier League of the National Aggregated Ranking by Subject 2026
Four academic fields at Moscow Polytechnic University have achieved Premier League status in the National Aggregated Ranking by Subject 2026. This confirms that the University's academic programs, to which prospective students apply, are recognized among the strongest in the country. The ranking is compiled by the Guild of Experts in the Field of Professional Education in collaboration with the National Foundation for Innovation Support in Education.
Moscow Polytech's fields listed in the Premier League include:
- Mechanical Engineering;
- Technosphere Safety and Environmental Engineering;
- Materials Technology;
- Ground Transportation Engineering and Technologies.
Six additional fields are placed in the First League: Mathematics and Mechanics, Computer Science and Engineering, Management in Technical Systems, Light Industry Technologies, Media and Information/Library Science, and Fine Arts.
The ranking evaluates universities across Russia, categorized by broad groups of specialties and disciplines ("УГСН"), providing a consistent basis for comparing educational programs nationwide. In practice, this comprises 55 separate subject rankings covering the entire spectrum of higher education disciplines in the country.
The assessment considers several key factors: national subject rankings, entrance examination results, bibliometric data, and the recognition of programs by the academic and research community and employers.
The National Aggregated Ranking by Subject 2026 is generating significant interest not only within academic community but also among applicants and their parents.
"Looking at a university through the lens of subject areas reveals much about the institution as a whole and its actual capabilities in specific fields of study," noted the ranking’s compilers.
