Young Scientist of Moscow Polytech Develops a Site for Communication Between People with Disabilities
A communication platform for people with visual and hearing disabilities is proposed by Elizaveta Striga, Associate Professor of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications at the Institute of Publishing and Journalism. Her project received a grant named after V.E. Fortov. Let us recall that the grant competition is carried out within the framework of the implementation of the strategic academic leadership program "Priority 2030" and is aimed at supporting the best youth research projects at the university.
The researcher's scientific interests are concentrated around the issues of media representation of social topics and values that are relevant for the development of Russian society. Elizaveta Striga has over 15 years of practical experience in journalism. She has twice become a laureate of the Crystal Arrow competition for young journalists. At the university, she teaches the disciplines "Fundamentals of Journalism", "Technologies of Work in Socio-Political Journalism", "Professional Ethics of a Journalist". She has experience participating in a grant from the Russian Science Foundation, and annually speaks at key international scientific and practical conferences on journalism.
The topic of Elizaveta Striga's research project is "Problems of Overcoming Digital Inequality: Creating a Communication Platform for People with Visual and Hearing Disabilities." The main idea is to draw up a technical assignment for creating a communication platform for people with visual and hearing disabilities based on the humanitarian research that the researcher is conducting within the framework of the grant.
