Andrey Keller, Dean of the Transport Faculty, discusses the faculty's achievements as it enters the New Year.
The time is approaching to review the outgoing year 2025 - a year of intensive work, significant achievements, and new strategic steps for the Transport Faculty at Moscow Polytechnic University. Our top priority is training highly qualified personnel for the country's automotive and transportation industries.
New courses
In an effort to meet the challenges of the times, the Transport Faculty significantly expanded its educational offerings in 2025. We are pleased to announce the opening of enrollment for three new undergraduate and specialist programs: "Electronics and Sensor Technologies," "Automobiles and Transport and Logistics Systems," and "Electric Vehicles." Furthermore, to train highly qualified digital engineering professionals, admission to the master's program "Computer Modeling and Strength Analysis of Transport and Technological Systems" was reopened. These steps confirm our status as a leading platform for training the country's engineering elite.
Internship in China
This year, our students not only deepened their theoretical knowledge but also gained invaluable international experience: a group of top students completed a professional internship in China, gaining exposure to cutting-edge global practices.
Cooperation with NAMI
We continue to expand our educational and material resources on a large scale. As part of our strategic partnership with FSUE NAMI, a flagship of the Russian automotive industry, we successfully modernized the faculty's laboratories. To train the specialists of the future, we created and equipped new laboratories for cyberphysical testing of automobiles, electric vehicles, and diagnostics of electronic control systems. A key result of our collaboration with FSUE NAMI was the commissioning of an innovative test rig for a fully functional vehicle with a combined power plant, providing our students and researchers with unique opportunities to work with advanced transportation technologies.
Scientific life
The faculty's research life was also intense. Our scientists and engineers achieved significant results in key projects:
- a complex of digital twins of vehicles of various classes and categories was developed and implemented into the research process;
- an innovative electric braking mechanism for trucks was created in collaboration with the KAMAZ Research Center;
- important research on driving modes was conducted, and data on energy consumption in electric vehicles was updated, which is critical for the development of domestic electric transport.
Our research teams confirmed their high level of excellence by winning grants fr om the Russian Science Foundation. The faculty's scientists will focus on research in two breakthrough areas: the development of advanced electric steering systems for vehicles and the creation of new materials for engine fuel supply systems.
Another highlight was the receipt of a Russian Presidential Scholarship by graduate student Roman Maksimov—a significant recognition of the scientific potential and the level of research conducted at the faculty.
Consolidating Efforts
The past year has been a time for the Faculty to consolidate our efforts in education, research, and infrastructure development. We are not only strengthening our traditional areas of expertise but also actively laying the groundwork for a technological breakthrough in the transportation of the future. Our space is an environment wh ere academic knowledge meets practical engineering, and student ideas are supported for implementation. New challenges and opportunities await us in 2026. We will focus on further developing our research areas, strengthening international ties, and integrating our research into the real economy.
We sincerely congratulate the students, faculty staff, graduates of the Transport Faculty and all of Moscow Polytechnic University on the New Year! May this holiday bring you joy, comfort, and inspiration. We thank everyone for their professionalism, dedication, and boundless energy. It is your work that creates the unique atmosphere of the Faculty, where innovation is born and talent is nurtured. We wish our friendly team a year of exciting discoveries, successful projects, and significant victories in 2026! We wish you good health, happiness, and new professional heights!
