Representatives of Moscow Polytech are taking in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2026), which is being held in St. Petersburg from June 4 to 6. The delegation is involved in several areas of the forum, including the expert agenda, youth initiatives, and volunteer support for one of the country's largest business events.
As part of the forum's business program, Moscow Polytechnic University Rector Vladimir Miklushevskii is participating in expert sessions dedicated to the development of Advanced Engineering Schools, the application of artificial intelligence in industry, advanced materials, and the future of domestic manufacturing. The agenda also includes participation in the forum's plenary session attended by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
SPIEF traditionally remains one of the country's leading platforms for discussing the future of the Russian economy, science, and education. For Moscow Polytech, the forum provides an opportunity to exchange experience with representatives of government, industry, and the scientific community, as well as to present its practices in educating specialists for high-tech industries.
University students are also actively involved in the forum. Moscow Polytech volunteers assist organizers and participants, accompany guests, and help ensure the smooth operation of the event.
On the final day of SPIEF, June 6, Olga Chernykh, Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work at Moscow Polytechnic University, will speak at the panel discussion "Student Self-Governance as a Tool for the Socio-Economic Development of Regions." Participants will discuss the role of student organizations in the development of higher education institutions, student involvement in university governance, and the impact of student initiatives on regional development.
