Moscow Polytech Hosts Career Talk in Mechanical Engineering with Industry Partners
Moscow Polytechnic University held its annual event “Career in Mechanical Engineering” at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, bringing together students and leading industry employers. During the meeting, students had the opportunity to step into the role of future engineers — asking questions directly, learning about working conditions, internship opportunities, and support measures for young specialists, all in an open and informal setting.
Representatives of three major industrial partners of the university took part in the event:
Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (TsNIITochmash), one of the country’s leading research centers in precision engineering and advanced technologies;
Izolyator Plant, a long-established Russian manufacturer of high-voltage equipment used in power systems nationwide;
ZiO-Podolsk (Rosatom), a mechanical engineering plant specializing in heat exchange equipment for nuclear, thermal, and petrochemical industries.
Company representatives emphasized that making career decisions early in one’s academic journey plays a key role in future success.
“When you have a clear goal, it becomes easier to study and understand which skills are essential for your future career,” the partners noted.
Following the panel discussion “Mechanical Engineering - A Path to Success!”, students were invited to take part in mock interviews designed to closely replicate real hiring processes. This hands-on experience allowed participants not only to better understand recruitment procedures but also to receive direct feedback from HR professionals of leading enterprises. The discussion also covered targeted education programs - an opportunity that provides students with financial and professional support during their studies and ensures employment upon graduation.
