Ministry of Labor of Russia for the first time released a ranking of the employment of college and university graduates. Moscow Polytech took the second place in the field “Culture" among more than 60 participants in the Bachelor’s and Specialist’s degree categories, the first place in this field in the Master’s degree category, as well as the 28th place in the field of study “Engineering, Technology and Technical Sciences” among more than 100 participants. The ranking is based on real data about employment and salaries of graduates, what makes it an objective indicator of the quality of training of specialists, experts note.
In total university rankings have been compiled for eight fields of study: mathematical and natural sciences; engineering; technologies and technical sciences; healthcare and medical sciences; agriculture and agricultural sciences; social sciences; education and pedagogical sciences; humanitarian sciences; culture. Within each field, universities have been divided into two groups by the number of graduates (higher or below the median value). Data on the number of graduates and their respective fields of training were provided by Rosobrnadzor, and data on salaries by The Social Fund of Russia.
As noted by Evgeniya Korshunova, Head of Career and Employment Center of Moscow Polytech, due to versatile training and wide spectrum of educational programs our graduates take various engineering positions: Leading Engineer, Software Engineer, Designer, Technologist, Project Engineer and other specialists of the technical profile.
“Career and Employment Center of Moscow Polytech implements a set of actions aimed at facilitating the employment of students and graduates, as well as provides an opportunity of seamless transition of young specialists to the labor market”, - adds Evgeniya Korshunova.
Among the key initiatives are a career marathon that is held twice a year, excursions to different companies, express internships in the framework of the project “More Than Work”, meetings with the representatives of employers and personal career consultations. Moscow Polytech cooperates with more than 750 industrial partners and implements jointly a wide range of projects and events.
