Moscow Polytech Trade Union activists spent a weekend on the shore of the Mozhaisk reservoir at the "Krasnovidovo" Recreation Centre of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MGU). The program of the Trade Union Activists School included plenary sessions, trainings, master classes, plein-air painting, and a visit to a memorial.
Opening the event, Nikolay Nitkin, Chairman of the University's Trade Union (includes staff and students), emphasized the importance of such schools for strengthening communication within the team, developing the professional competencies of trade union activists, and providing an opportunity to recharge at the end of the academic year.
Deputy Chairman Elena Krutina presented the structure of the Education and Science Employees' Union of Russia and explained the functions of trade union representatives working in various divisions of Moscow Polytech.
Under the guidance of Victoria Orlova, the participants analyzed cases during the master class "Personality Types and Professional Burnout: From Vulnerability to Resource", discussing ways to prevent burnout and restore working capacity.
Psychologists Leyla Abasova and Olga Safronova conducted the "Resource and Balance" training session, where everyone was able to look within themselves, listen to their feelings, and find personal recovery methods. The participants practiced relaxation techniques, including meditation, under the guidance of Victoria Orlova.
During the plein-air painting session with Maria Krechetova, the participants, inspired by the beauty of the local nature, revealed their creative talents and painted pictures. The creative part ended with a barbecue team-building activity, which turned into a cosy evening by the campfire.
Honoring the memory became an important part of the trip: June 22 is the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, the day of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. The school participants visited the monument in Krasnovidovo dedicated to a historical event: on October 10, 1941, a meeting of the Western Front headquarters was held on the territory of the current rest house of Lomonosov Moscow State University "Krasnovidovo". It was there that key decisions for the defense of Moscow were made, and Georgy Zhukov was appointed Commander of the Western and Reserve Fronts. The sculptural composition was created by Alexander Rukavishnikov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation; the opening of the monument took place in 2020 to mark the 75th anniversary of Victory.
The Trade Union Activists School was successfully completed: the training sessions and master classes, combined with warm weather, gave the participants an opportunity to improve their personal resource recovery skills and have some rest. They return with new knowledge, ideas for work, and renewed team energy.
