This program is conducted entirely in English — as a professional standard, not a language exercise. All coursework, assignments, and projects are in English, so graduates are ready for international newsrooms and media companies from day one.
The first year builds the theoretical foundation: contemporary media theory, digital agenda-setting, research methods, programming and data analysis, creative media ethics, cross-cultural communication, and media market trends. The second year shifts the emphasis to practice and specialization: documentary filmmaking, video formats, managing innovative editorial teams, conflict in the media, and image communications.
Four blocks of elective courses let students shape their own path: podcasting and audio storytelling, media metrics, crowdfunding for creative projects, data visualization, and international collaboration in the creative industries.
The practical component — 45 ECTS credits — covers three placement types: professional-creative, research, and pre-graduation. The program concludes with a master's thesis defense.
Classes are held at Avtozavodskaya ul., 16, Building 4.
