About the program

The program trains universal journalists working in a multimedia information environment and prepare content for any channel of information dissemination, using the Internet, mobile and other mass communication channels.

The curriculum was developed in consultation with leading Russian experts in the field of media and is based on an analysis of global best practices in multimedia journalism and the digitalization of the media landscape, as well as on cutting-edge media management practices.

The uniqueness of the profile lies in combining the study of media content creation principles with the management principles of modern digital newsrooms.

In the course of training, universal, general professional and professional competencies, fundamental knowledge in the field of Humanities (Philosophy, Philology, History, Cultural Studies), Social (Sociology, Psychology, Law, Political science), Economic and Natural Sciences are formed. The General cultural value orientations and civic qualities of the future journalist are developed, which are formed based on humanistic, high moral and ethical standards; they develop creativity, communication skills, a sense of responsibility, the ability to social adaptation and self-reflection, initiative, purposefulness in professional activities, tolerance, and a proper level of physical fitness.

Throughout their studies, students engage in project work and participate in international and inter-university conferences; they collaborate with leading faculty members and industry representatives to develop real-world projects, which facilitates their rapid and successful employment upon graduation.

We train students in the methods of creating various types of multimedia content and applying them in the media; in the creation and use of static and dynamic infographics within a multimedia environment; and in researching and structuring information, as well as adapting it to meet the requirements of different media platforms.

Results of Russian and literature State exam, internal tests: essay on Russian language and Literature and Interview.

The exam is offered three or four topics : the first topic in Russian literature of the first half of the nineteenth century; the second topic is about Russian literature of the second half of the nineteenth century; the third topic is about Russian literature of the XX century; the fourth is about Russian Literature of XX century (works for choice of University applicant).

Applicants are offered a choice of 3 topics, 40 minutes given to get prepared, then in turn, the applicants answer the selected topic to the members of the examination Committee. During the interview, the applicant may be asked additional questions.

Points are not added, but applicants with professional experience in the media usually get higher scores at the interview.
