About the program

This educational program is aimed at graduates of Russian universities of technical areas of training, specialized educational programs of undergraduate studies and specialists of enterprises introducing equipment and technologies of additive processing. A significant place in the educational program is held by training students in the application of modern digital technologies (CAD and CAE systems) to optimize additive processing technologies, or technological processes combined with them. A graduate of the educational program is a specialist researcher in the field of development, research and optimization of technologies for additive manufacturing of products, as well as technologies based on a combination of traditional technologies for processing materials and technologies for additive manufacturing.

The purpose of the program is to prepare masters who know how to study the technological properties of materials used in additive manufacturing, who are able to analyze existing data on additive manufacturing technologies and synthesize new solutions that have practical skills in computer modeling for research and optimization of additive technologies and combined ones based on application additive technology.

Education at Moscow Poly

The educational process is based on the implementation of research on relevant topics of additive manufacturing, including the study of the 3D printing process from thermoplastics, light-curing and powder materials, the development, research and optimization of combined technologies, optimizing the shape of future products, etc.

The laboratory base of the university involved in the educational program includes the laboratory of additive technologies, the laboratory of materials science and ceramic materials, the interdepartmental laboratory CAD-TP, which is the center of competence for the simulation of technological processes of material processing.

In addition, students of the “Additive Manufacturing” educational program are given the opportunity to participate in the two diploma program, implemented in cooperation with the Technical University of Freiberg (Germany).
