Moscow Poly Yacht-Club Held “Moscow Sea” Sports and Recreation Camp for Students
Moscow Poly yacht-club held a sports and recreation camp “Moskovskoe More” (“Moscow Sea”) for its students in Konakovo.
The Base is located on the “Donkhovka” river with its waters accessed through a bay where the trainings take place so, the safety of the newly-made yachts men is highly-ensured – the possibility of entering the navigation pass is excluded, whereas the wind rose allows to study the basics of the yachting sport.
In the first season that took place in July, the role of a supervisor for the novices took the Merited Coach of the USSR Vyacheslav Kim. During the second season in August, the rest of the team paid a visit to Konakovo. They were guided by Oleg Metelsky.
The trainings took place twice a day – in the morning and evening. The theory and grammar were combined, the guys were visually demonstrated the components of the yachts belonging to the “Luch” (“Beam”) category. After a working day and learning yachting sports it was the time for active leisure: ball games, sap walking and swimming in the river. Every weekend there were outings to nature organized.
