About Program
The program is focused on preparing specialists in the sphere of development of applications of Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR and VR) for various devices: smartphones, AR glasses, VR helmets, personal computers and notebooks, and gaming devices. Our graduates are capable to solve issues of designing AR and VR applications; sel ect the most efficient tools of development of these systems; develop and apply efficient image recognition algorithms; optimize the flow of input and output information; introduce AR and VR systems to the market.
Study at Moscow Polytech
In the course of education, all the students (with no regard to their profile) are actively involved in project activity. The customer of most of the projects carried out by students is the Department of Information Technology of Moscow Polytechnic University. All projects have a purely practical focus and are tied to the current tasks of the University.
Teaching of disciplines is aimed at developing both individual qualities of each student and teamwork.
Starting fr om the second year, when division into profiles occurs, the students independently choose topics for their course projects, at maximum linked to their profiles.
One of the most important stages of teaching students in the course is their proactive activity outside the University. Our students take part in various hackathons and competitions on a regular basis. Scientific achievements should be separately mentioned: the best students take part in All-Russian and international conferences and workshops. Their works are published in various scientific journals. Education is focused on both professional and scientific growth of students.

Which profile offers more programming?
All profiles. The Module of programming is general for all students:
- Fundamentals of algorithmization and programming;
- Introduction to programming;
- Object-oriented programming;
- Fundamentals of modern algorithms;
- Cross-platform programming technology;
- Programming for mobile devices.
The only exclusion is Programming for mobile devices. Depending on the profile, the accents are shifted.
What are the peculiarities of this field of study?
The first year is common for all the profiles. Division takes place in the end of the first year of studies. By that time, most students decide on their profile.
What is the difference between profiles?
The set of basic disciplines is equal. Differences are in specialized disciplines: 9-12 disciplines depending on the profile. Division between the profiles takes place in May of the first year of studies. By that time, most students have decided on the type of professional activity, which they are interested in.
Will I get assistance in employment?
Yes, we have partners who are ready to take graduates. But this problem has never arisen since students are already working in their specialty by the time of graduation.
What to do if there are no programming skills?
To address this, the program "Introduction to Programming" is introduced, where programming skills are improved to an acceptable level.
