On September 10, Moscow Polytech hosted the All-Russian Educational Project “NOT a Lesson of Geography”. The students of our University also participated in it. Together with students from different cities of the country, they completed the eco-quest “Secret Paths of the Ancient Slavs”. The Russian Geographic Society (RGS) organized it.
During completing the quest, students got familiar in more detail with the nature of our country, culture and traditions of the Ancient Russia. Three teams tested their knowledge. Upon the results of the quest, they were presented with memorable prizes and gifts.
Let us remind you that in 2023 “NOT a Lesson of Geography” covered 85 thousands participants from 65 regions of the country. The main goals of the project are to popularize geographical knowledge, increase the interest towards the geography of Russia, to cover activities of RGS and demonstrate geographical achievements. THE also include issues of the environmental protection, educational, research and other activities aiming to realize the country’s potential in the informative and entertainment format. According to the organizer, such lessons allow students to awaken and develop an interest in the environment.
