Moscow Polytech joined “Global Universities” association. The organization was established in 2014 to coordinate and unite efforts by the universities that strive for ensure international competitiveness. Moscow Polytech University is to share with the participants the experience of introducing the new STEAM model into the sphere of engineering education that integrates technical disciplines together with creativity. Such a program is implemented by Moscow Polytech in the framework of the “Priority 2030” strategic leadership program.

Moscow Polytech president Vladimir Miklushevskii noted that it`s a big honor for the University to join the Association. “We strengthen relations with our international partners on a year-by-year basis. Currently, there are 20 of them including Turkey, South Korea and Germany. Our University is interested in a joint activity to develop Russian education. We expect that joining the Association will contribute to improving the quality of education and effective implementation of the program for development of the University. But first of all, we will contribute to creating and implementing a new education model put forward by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education”, – noted Vladimir Miklushevskii.

So far, there are 23 Russian universities – participants of the Association. One of the key goals of the activity that the Association carries out is to train talents for the priority areas under the scientific-technological development of Russia and economic areas. In 2022, together with the leaders in car manufacturing industry Moscow Polytech established an Advanced Engineering School (AES) for electric transport. Moscow Polytech is one of the leaders when it comes to implementing project activity with a view of helping students develop professional and soft skills. The students, in their turn, have consequently demonstrated a decent level of knowledge in the course of federal and international contests.

In its turn, the Association is responsible for improving the reputation of the universities at the international arena and their promotion to the global market of educational services. Thus, in 2023 Moscow Polytech has already established a representative office in Shanghai (PR China) to ensure the cooperation with Chinese universities, scientific organizations and industrial enterprises in the sphere of car manufacturing and professional training, as well as exchange of expertise in integrating advanced technologies and international practices in the educational process.

Together with the Universities-participants of the Association, Moscow Polytech will continue carrying out advanced scientific research. Among the key elaborations made by the students and engineers of the University, such as L7 electric car (carried out together with “Avtotor”), electric brake system for the mass-production (with PAO “KAMAZ”). Also, there are certain scientific elaborations under way, such as “growing” exo-skeleton designed for diagnostics and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, polymer printer based on LCD technology, wear-resistant thin-film coating polymers and much more. It`s important to note that the majority of projects are implemented jointly with industrial partners – the largest Russian companies that act as clients.
