Moscow Polytech and the Delegation of the Republic of Mali discussed cooperation plans
The Delegation of the Republic of Mali visited Moscow Polytech on September 25. The meeting took place in the framework of the consortium “Russian–African Network University”. The Parties discussed the opportunities for cooperation and development of joint projects in the sphere of artificial intelligence and robotics, internships at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and other issues.
The guests included the head of the National Center of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Sogoba Jacqueline Konate, technical advisor of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Mali Ousmane Guindo, responsible for infrastructure issues at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Mali Nouhoun N’Diaye, lecturer of the University of Science, Machinery and Technology Bamako Bacary Savadogo, lecturer of Higher National School of Engineers Abdoulaye Sidibe, and lecturer of USSGB/IUDT University Djibril Diarra.
The guests visited the laboratories at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Moscow Polytech, as well as the production laboratory at the Technological Support Center of the Advanced Engineering School of Electric Transport.
Vice-President for International Affairs Yulia Davydova, Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Evgheniy Safonov, Head of the International Directorate Alina Andrukh and Head of International Programs Department Igor Smolyanoy discussed a set of issues with the delegation of Mali. In particular, the opportunities for cooperation and the development of joint projects in the sphere of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, internships at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, signing the Memorandum, as well as the implementation of winter and summer schools project.
Based on the results of the meeting, the participants underlined the importance of international cooperation, which fully corresponds to the development strategy in the Russian-African relations.
