Moscow Poly Won “Book Art” International Contest
On September 3, the “Book Art” XIXth international contest awarding ceremony has been held for the CIS-participants and winners. The ceremony was held in the course of the 35th Moscow international book fair where in 11 nominations 77 publishing houses from 8 CIS countries took part.
Moscow Poly has presented to the expert jury a photo album entitled “My Poly” that tells about all aspects of life at the University. The edition has been highly evaluated and received the 1st degree diploma in “Art Book” nomination. The award has been presented to the Moscow Poly president, Vladimir Miklushevskii.
“Above all, I`d like to say that this trophy praises the work of big team headed by the creative director Ekaterina Khokhlogorskaya. And, of course, is an award for all students and teachers who create this very special atmosphere that almost every page of this album is abundant in”, - noted the president.
The organizing committee has particularly emphasized that Moscow Poly trains decent specialists for the book publishing industry not only in Russia but in CIS-countries, too.
Moscow Poly president Vladimir Miklushevskii, head of the project Ekaterina khokhlogorskaya, project supervisor Elena Shilova, chief editor Irina Shurygina, designer Sergei Emelyanenko, art director Sergei Birichev, as well as editorial board memebrs Innokentiy Keleynikov (fundamental design), Yaroslav Dmitriev (project administrator) and Diana Alieva (exhibition curator) participated in the developing and publishing “My Poly” photo album.
The album shows off the photos by Dmitry Lebedev, Darya Miroshnichenko, Irina Abzalova, “My Poly” contest participants and others. Among the industrial partners of the event were the Podolsk factory of the offset printing and “Alfa Design” enterprise.
For reference: “Book Art” international contest has been held by the Interstate Council for Cooperation in periodical press, book publishing and circulation, as well as typography since 2003. In 2022, 8 CIS countries participated in the event: Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Belarus Republic, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbeksitan.
