Moscow Polytech’s students have developed a virtual simulator of an electric train driver's cabin
On May 29, a Moscow Polytech’s partner “Transmashholding” hosted a joint projects defense in the framework of the company-university project activity. The teams formed from students of IT and technical fields of study presented five works.
One of the teams developed a virtual electric train driver's cabin, which was manufactured by the “Transmashholding” enterprise in Mytishchi. According to the authors, the project should help potential buyers and future employees to study the characteristics and controls of the machine in advance in a virtual space. As a result, the time for training and familiarization with the equipment will be significantly reduced, when, for example, it is not even necessary to visit the location.
The company’s representatives and heads of departments praised the guys for the high-quality project development, and shared their interest to continue cooperation in future, including in the role of prospect employers. Several participants in the project are already working in this company, and the rest expressed their interest in an internship during the summer period.
“The guys are doing a great cool job, which looks really good at a professional level! Their work is noted by the company’s employees. They say:“You guys are doing great job! We are delighted!” I join these words. In fact, the project activity is aimed at this result to allow the students work closely with industrial partners, ” said Ivan Petukhov, Head of the Project Activity Center of Moscow Polytech.
