President of Moscow Polytechnic University Vladimir Miklushevskii on April 4 took part in the Rector's club at the Moscow International Salon of Education (MMSO). In his presentation, he told about the plans of the University for the nearest future and identified the key challenges, facing higher education in Russia.
One of the main tasks of Moscow Polytech will become establishment of five engineering and technological centers by 2030, focused on the work with production companies in such fields as «Electric Vehicles Industry”, “Highly Automated Machine Mechanical Engineering”, “Software for Technical Systems", "Intelligent Control Systems" and "Sensor Technologies".
According to Vladimir Miklushevskii, this work implies the creation of products possessing high level of technological readiness; therefore, it is important to work in tight cooperation with organizations of the real sector of the economy.
“The industry is often in distrust towards what universities are doing. We shall be able to overcome this distrust by only one way – by showing a specific result,” - declared Vladimir Miklushevskii.
President of Moscow Polytech also noted that the given fields are inextricably linked to retrospective activity of the University and with two Government Decrees, which determine the vector of Russia’s development within the paradigm of the transition to technological sovereignty.
“Each university must find own unique niche in order to compete with other universities for the same place. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education will coordinate this process. This task will be solved, there is no doubt about it,” - added Vladimir Miklushevskii.
