Moscow Polytech Holds Exhibition by Artists Asya Shevarova “Seasons of the Year”
The exhibition called “Seasons of the Year” opened on the eve of the Pushkin anniversary year and is devoted to the Russia that Pushkin loved.
The basis of the exposition became the sketches of different periods fr om Pushkogorye. It also displays works from ancient corners of Russian – Oryol, Tot`ma. The graphics section starts with a series of lithographs called “Podmoskovie Estates”. These works depict both famous and no-so-know estates in a way that they were during their heydays. The center of the exhibition is surely illustrations for the fairytale “Konyok-Gorbunok” (“Little Humpbacked Horse”) by Pavel Ershov. The book containing these bright, festive pictures has been recently brought out by the “TriMag” publishing house.
Asya Shevarova has a rich exhibition experience. She participated in many Russian national exhibitions, whereas her works are now held in various collections.
In 2011, the artist graduated from I.Fyodorov Moscow State University of Printing Arts (since 2016 – Advanced Printing School under Moscow Polytech) wh ere she studied “Illustration and Engraving” from the people`s artist of the Russian Federation B.A. Diodorov.
The exhibition will be taking place from December 20, 2023 to January 16, 2024.
