The Team EMP Polytech Will Take Part in the Baikal Mile 2020

In March 2019, the team of the Moscow Polytechnic University EMP Polytech took part in the Festival of speed “Baikal mile”. Athlete MOTUL Anastasia Nifontova drove electric motorcycle MIG which was fully engendered and designed by students of Moscow Polytechnic University from the team EMP Polytech and she set the first Russian speed record on ice -105 kilometers per hour!

The Festival of speed “Baikal mile” is annual competition not only for pilots but also for different means of vehicle. Due to the harsh natural conditions this event is a unique achievement in the history of Autosport and Motorsport. The main idea of the competition is to set speed records on various types of vehicle on the ice cover of the deepest lake on the planet.

The judging panel from Russia and the United States, the participation of world-class athletes and record holders of races in Bonneville, as well as stantrading, drift, drag racing, flat track, freestyle Moto extreme- all these events take place annually on the same site. And it’s all "Baikal mile"!

This year the team EMP Polytech also challenged speed. Within the period from February 27 to March 1, 2020 the team of Moscow Polytechnic University will set new records in the extreme conditions of Siberia.
