Moscow Poly Student – bronze winner`s mentor

A student of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Valery Strijeus engages in training children for the junior championship of robotics “KidSkills” at School #2098. The goal of the championship was constructing Lego robot which is able to collect colored containers and bring them to detracking area on the line move.

The competition participants - Grade -2 and Grade -3pupils Ilya Budashov and Timofey Milehin. They gladly constructed a programmed robot and invented its algorithm. The competition proceeded in several stages. Firstly, they sent the video to the competition tutors. The robot was just randomly delivering containers on this video. Then boys went onto the semifinal and challenged with a harder task. 100 different school teams participated in the competition. The Moscow Poly Student `s boys perfectly coped with task and want onto semifinal as well as 20 teams and they ranked third!

The KidSkills Championship forms actual experience, skills and abilities for preschoolers and Grade 6-9 pupils. The project started in 2018. This year the championship consisted of 10 branches: city-farming, engineering of space systems, graphic design, prototype crafting, cooking, multimedia  journalism, maintenance of unmanned air systems, robotics VR/AR technologies, electronics. Every child satisfies his interests learning different skills and professions during this competition.
