A Student of Moscow Polytechnic University Developed the Concept of Electric KAMAZ

KamAZ presented its vision of the future of the electric truck. Kamaz-Truck developed by the 4th year student of Moscow Polytechnic University Artem Trofimenko within the period of his internship at the company, aquired new headlights, optimized body and special air flow taps.

The basis was taken the cab and the frame KAMAZ K5. "I was inspired by Soviet architecture, railway locomotive and Japanese origami philosophy," said Artem Trofimenko. - From the variety of origami was chosen paper horse, as the brand is associated with this animal".

The project was successfully completed in 2017 as a test task in employment, the student worked in the design Studio of the company for almost a year. The time was short, it took a week for creating for the whole concept of electric truck 2025. The appearance of the new KAMAZ is largely due to the electric motor: such cars do not need air to work, it means that you can remove the vents or air intakes. Particular attention is paid to the concept of aerodynamics: the body is optimized and has special outlets for air flows. Also the truck has got LED headlights.

Earlier Artem Trofimenko’s project "New Sports Driving Experience" was presented at Moscow International Motor Show (MMAS-2018) in the competition for young designers" the Future of Autonomous Transport in Russia", announced by Renault. Now the student is undergoing an internship in Renault design Studio in Bucharest.
