The creation of intelligent systems and devices is a key trend in the development of the IT field. The largest IT companies (Google, Microsoft, IBM, Facebook, Yandex) are actively developing intelligent services and agents, relying on interdisciplinary research in the field of machine learning, computer linguistics, neuroscience, cognitive science, computer science and psychology. In the CLAIM program, we combine the study of widespread AI methods and knowledge engineering (neural networks, genetic algorithms, deep machine learning and big data processing methods, expert systems, data mining, text mining) and copyright developments of the Leading Scientific School of Russia in the field of psycholinguistics.
During the training, you can choose a design and research specialization aimed at studying methods of processing natural language (Cognizer), developing a gestural interface (SurdoJet), studying music-linguistic and other promising cognitive technologies.
We invite you to join a team of researchers and developers of breakthrough technologies in the field of artificial intelligence.
The master's program is designed and developed as part of the NeuroNet direction of the National Technology Initiative and the Artificial Intelligence Federal Project of the National Digital Economy Program.
The program allows the compilation of individual educational trajectories and programs of students, which allows you to take into account the individual characteristics of undergraduates, the reality of their life situations and circumstances, the interests of employers and other features of the implementation of higher education.
One of the most important features of the program is its attachment to specific projects that are implemented by full-time and invited members of the research and teaching staff. Being tied to specific projects, programs are limited not only by the period of their implementation, but also by the timing of project implementation. The program is implemented on time for the project, and ends upon completion. In fact, the development or updating of the master's program comes down to the creation or updating of an educational and methodological superstructure over a certain research project.
The projects on the basis of which the program is implemented are research and development carried out by a team of scientists and specialists associated with an organization (company, industrial enterprise, research institute, etc.) or a specially created team of like-minded performers a research grant funded by an organization.
The project should be innovative, have a specific goal and objectives. In the process of its implementation, a high-tech intellectual product should be created with scientific novelty, practical value and significance, aimed at obtaining economically and socially effective solutions relevant to science and industry.
The program has a high level of resource provision - personnel, educational-methodical (scientific-educational) and informational. The program is implemented within the framework of the scientific school "Information Technologies of Semiotics, Linguistics, Cognitology". The main pedagogical resource of the programs is presented by the Scientific and Educational Cluster of Computer Linguistics and Artificial Intelligence (NOC CLAIM)
The staff of the scientific school includes 11 candidates of technical sciences, one Laureate of the Presidential Award in the field of education, average age - 35 years. 9 team members are heads of IT companies or their divisions. The team consists of 8 graduate students and applicants for academic degrees.
In recent years, on the subject of the master's program, team members published: 20 monographs and study guides, more than 300 scientific articles. 25 scientific projects completed. 18 candidate dissertations defended. More than 70 graduation projects and master's theses have been completed.
Education at Moscow Poly
-
The program is being implemented on the basis of the Artificial Intelligence research laboratory of the Department of Infocognitive Technologies.
-
Training involves no more than 12 hours (16 academic hours) of contact work with teachers per week according to the approved schedule. Two days of classroom lectures (lectures, practical exercises, laboratory work) per week. By tradition, they are held on Mondays and Tuesdays fr om 9-00 to 16-00 weekly from September to December and from February to May.
-
Lecture classes in individual disciplines are no more than 12 ac. hours per semester. Lectures are given in September and February. Their visit is obligatory. Practical exercises, laboratory work and consultations can be carried out remotely.
-
In cases wh ere training is combined with work, if the employer does not object and / or after agreement with the Moscow Polytechnic University (conclusion of a special practice agreement), independent work, training practices, research practice and undergraduate practice can be carried out in the organization of the employer.
- Student and teacher together develop individual educational plan. Plan includes obligatory disciplines (50 percent) and elective courses, which can be chosen from general list. Elective courses must correspond with graduate qualification work of the student.
- Total labor intensity of each of the disciplines is no more than 2 course credits, i.e. 72 ac.hours, including 36 ac.hours of in-class studies and 36 ac.hours of invidual work. The only exception is "Project and research activity" discipline, with total labour intensity of 22 course credits, i.e. 792 ac.hours, including only 36 hours of in-class studies during the first term. The whole discipline is realised during 4 terms. During 1st term students study only obligatory disciplines of the program.
- During the first term student are told to formulate subject of their graduate qualification work and individual academic plan.
- Subject of graudate qualification work must correspond with tasks realised in "Artificial Intelligence" research laboratory of "Infocognitive Technologies" department.
