“Scientists are not some strange people, in strange clothes and with thick glasses. Scientists are young active people who travel a lot, have extensive international cooperation, participate in international projects and have the opportunity to earn money and arrange collaborations”. Assistant Professor at the Moscow Polytechnic University Yury Furletov also believes that if you talk about the research activity of young scientists creatively and in a simple and understandable language, using advanced technologies and social networks then scientists will become new opinion leaders and prove the prestige and value of science. In his video card as a member of the Youth Scientific Community “Vyzov” (“Challenge”), established in the framework of the All-Russian national youth scientific and practical conference “Young Scientists in Ensuring Safety”, Yury proclaims that “a candidate of technical sciences today is an artist…”.
Yury and his project team plan to launch a laboratory for developing import-substituting technologies for robotic systems in the field of sensors for cargo trucks and passenger unmanned vehicles. He believes that “science today is scientific and technical creativity” and that if you are a creative person with an inclination to engineering, and if you want to gain new knowledge that will help you improve technologies in the future and commercialize inventions, many opportunities will open up for you.
