The visitors of the “Prostory Nashei Rodiny” [“Landscpes of Our Motherland”] exhibition will see the works by teachers of the department for “Drawing and Pictorial Art” under Moscow Poly Favorsky Institute of Graphics and Book Art. The exposition will take place at the MSU academic block premises on Leninskiie Gory st., 1b.13 (academic block № 4). All interested will be able to visit the exhibition fr om April 27 – May 30, 2023.
The opening ceremony will take place on April 27 at 12:30.
The “Landscapes of Our Motherland” exhibition is a continuation of a similarly-named project. The project aims at following and developing traditions of Russian visual art.
The works by artists-teachers of the department for “Drawing and Pictorial Art” are filled with images of a peaceful like, people`s happiness, and Victory that our grandfathers and great grandfathers fought for during the Great patriotic War.
The teachers host plain air sessions in Moscow and constantly set off with the best students to on-site plain air sessions, they`re angaged in an active work, make sketches, which is a real mastership. Balaklava, Sushnevo, Kolomna, Suzdal, Vladimir – these are the cities wh ere Moscow Poly employees held plain air session with their students. In summer 2022, the plain air session took place on the Baikal Lake, that inspired artists to create a series of works devoted to our Motherland. A part of this collection will be displayed alongside with other works at the exhibition.
In May, teachers of the department will hold a cycle of online excursions around the exhibitions providing reviews to the creative works in interesting spheres.
