The international action “Geographical Dictation -2024” by the Russian Geographical Society was conducted at Moscow Polytech on November 17. In the action participated the students of the University who arrived to Moscow from different cities of Russia – Simpheropol, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, and Volgograd and so on.
This year the dictation was voiced by the famous actors, as well as by a Russian opera and chamber singer Fyodor Shalyapin, a Russian poet and writer Sergey Yesenin and the Great Russian writer and thinker Lev Tolstoy. Their voices have been synthesized by artificial intelligence.
Reference: the dictation is an international educational action that is conducted annually since 2015. It is aimed at popularization of geographical knowledge as well as at the increase of interest in science and in national heritage.
