The results of the Project and Analytical Session were summed up at Moscow Polytech

The project and analytical session devoted to the implementation of the Development Program of the University “Priority-2030” was held between 17 and 19 June. Experts from the FSASE “Sociocenter” took part in the intensive work. The project teams were represented by employees and representatives of the University Administration.

The project and analytical session included several stages: familiarization with the laboratories of AES of Electric Transport, presentation of current results of the development program and teamwork.

“Our goal is to create not just educational centers, but design bureaus, which will work in the market and create scientific and technical products required for the industry. From these examples, ours students should learn,” - declared President of Moscow Polytech Vladimir Miklushevskii.

During the session, the University experts presented the reports in which they reflected intermediate results of the “Priority – 2030” implementation. Director of the Advanced Engineering School of Electric Transport Pablo Iturralde in his report dwelt in more detail on important engineering projects in the sphere of autonomous end electric transport, which the University is creating jointly with industrial partners (Avtotor, KAMAZ, Mercator).

In particular, the expert discussed the strategic project «Affordable Vehicle”. The main goal of the project is establishing a national School of Electric Vehicle Engineering and making a meaningful contribution to technological sovereignty of the country. The speaker noted that a key moment is the creation and realization of the first Russian electric vehicle of L7 category, which the University carries out by order of the strategic partner “Avtotor” within the framework of a special contract with the Ministry of Industry and Trade. Start of mass production is planned already in 2025.

Vice-President for Academic Affairs Gyuzel Sharypzyanova shared that 95% of graduates are employed immediately after obtaining a diploma; and in 2023, Moscow Polytech took the third place among Moscow-based universities in terms of the number of applications submitted by applicants.

“It is our project-based learning that provides a maximum number of opportunities, given our students are studying in interdisciplinary teams. In this case, it turns out that a student may try on various roles in these teams. For example, an engineering student, learning jointly with students in the field of Design, realizes how to explain a designer what they are trying to design. In this case, we are training the teams to manage, hear and talk to each other using the same language. Plus, these projects are implemented with participation of industrial partners,” - says Vice-President for Academic Affairs Gyuzel Sharypzyanova.

Vice-President for Scientific Affairs Anton Nalyvaiko identified five main directions of University development: highly automated machine building, sensor technology, intellectual control systems, software for technical systems and human capital development. According to Anton Nalyvaiko, in each of these directions Moscow Polytech has made a significant progress in the development of infrastructure.

The session continued with working in five project teams. Each of them had their own focus:

“Strategic Project/Partnership”

“Science and Innovations/Partnership”

 “The Target Model/Management System”

“Education/Partnership”

“Digital Transformation”

Within three days, the teams analyzed the target model of the University development up to 20230 from different angles. Thus, in the course of the session the participants identified significant “growth points”, looked at the dynamics of the University transformation and noted the necessary means for achieving the set goals.

On the final day, the teams presented their proposals, fixed key results, made plans for the further stage of development. In their turn, the specialists of FSASE “Sociocenter” exchanged views with the session participants.

Reference: FSASE “Sociocenter” is a subordinate institution of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. It provides support to participants in the program of academic leadership “Priority-2030”. “Priority-2030” is the most large-scale program on support of universities in the history of Russia. The goal of the program is forming a wide group of the universities that are expected to become the leaders in the creation of new scientific knowledge, technologies and developments for further implementation into the Russian economy and social sphere.
