“So Different Russia” – Participants of Reciting Contest for International Students Take Unique Quiz
Participants of the reciting contest “Russia, My Soul” that this year was held under assistance of the foundation “Russkiy Mir” (“Russian World”) took a quiz entitled “So Different Russia” in the framework of the event. The organizers included the questions to check the knowledge of Russian history, as well as facts about famous historic personas, such as Mikhail Lomonosov, Sergei Esenin, Petr the Great and many others. The most intelligent participants received memorable souvenirs fr om Moscow Polytech.
In addition to the quiz, the University employees organized an acquaintance evening for the participants. The meeting united 50 students from different universities of Russia: Moscow Polytech including Cheboksary and Kolomna affiliations, Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology and its Novomoskovsk affiliation, MAI, South Ural State Agrarian University, MGSU, MIIT, Vavilov University under the Ministry of Agriculture of Russian, MADI, MISIS, MEI, Tomsk State University and
The guys got acquainted with each other and took part in an intellectual game to check their knowledge of countries. The organizers put the questions so that international students could tell a little more about their countries, and find out more about the cultural peculiarities, and at the same time, share why they chose Russia as a country to study. According to the participants, the event turned out to be very interesting.
“I`ll be happy to know about wh ere the other guys came to Russian. It was especially interesting to know about the culture of other countries, such as Zimbabwe, Mali, Congo, Indonesia, that are far from mine”, says Mikhaial Dimitrov (Bulgaria).
In the end of the meeting, the participants took a river walk that allowed them to enjoy the main landmarks of Moscow and spend some time together.
