Prime Minister Mishustin Inspected Moscow Poly Smart Shuttle
Moscow Poly president Vladimir Miklushevskii presented unmanned Smart Shuttle to the prime-minister Mikhail Mishustin. The prototype is displayed at the stand of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation at the “Innoprom” industrial exhibition.
“The shuttle is safe and highly manoeuvrable due to the compact dimension. It can carry up to 4 persons at one go. I`d like to highlight that unmanned and electric vehicles, as well as the relevant infrastructure is one of the key areas at our Advanced Engineering School”, - Vladimir Miklushevskii.
For 5 months, the shuttle has been tested out on the territory of “Technograd”. Specialists have improved the movement, stopping and passage of obstacles decision mechanisms. In addition to that, resource capabilities of the vehicle have also been tested.
Engineers have carried out the performance analysis of sensors and camera, in the night-time, too, and acquired sufficient data for a further neural net improvement. Also, the algorithms for automotive movement based on GPS/GLONASS sensors have been tested.
In addition, Moscow Poly has been developing a shuttle for transporting cargos to the store premises and airports without human assistance.
For reference: the “Innoprom” international exhibition is considered the main industrial, trade and export venue in Russia. 50,000м2 of expositions, over 40, 000 visitors, 60 regions of the Russian Federation and 22 participating countries.
